Are moonkins worth raid spots?

I'm fairly ignorant regarding the dps potential of moonkin druids. I'm well aware of their 5% spell crit aura though, so thats something i take into consideration when my guild (4/4 6/6 2/5 4/9) receives applications from moonkins.. but is that enough?

What exactly is their dps potential? WWS reports would be helpful.

Do they bring anything other than the 5% spell crit aura and an extra rebirth?

All in all if your roster allows a boomkin, its definitely worth it

Agreed - boomkins are some of the highest RDPS (raid dps) classes in the game.

3% melee hit raid wide is a massive buff not just to melee - but also tanking and TPS as well.

That combined with the fact they can do passible dps ~1800 dps on brutalus as an example makes them an excellent raid choice.

Moonkins can provide a lot of goodness to the raid, but I will also have to agree with many of the other people who have posted in this thread, that it requires a good player who knows what he is doing. This is of course true for all classes when raiding, but some class specs does require more effort to play well than others :-)
