I read the odd post about "clickers" being less skilled than people who use there keyboards. What's your opinion on this? Are you a clicker with a high rating? Discuss.

While this thread is quite obviously a trolling post, I wanted to add some of my personal thoughts to this matter.

Yes, it is possible to play decently if you mouseclick the majority of your abilities. This, however, is very class dependant and may be much easier for a class that uses less abilities than one that uses many.

It also depends on your playstyle, and what your goal and definition of "decent" and "good" is.

That being said, there IS a reduction in reaction time when you have to navigate a visual interface with a movable pointer -- and in situations where milliseconds can make a difference, the person who has the keybind memorized and automated so natively into his playstyle that he does not have to look for or think about hitting a specific bind will have an obvious advantage over someone who relies on the combination of mouse movement to visual feedback coordination.

There is also the point about it being a lot more difficult to use instant abilities that require facing your target while running away from him with mouseclicking the abilities.

In the end, my personal belief is that it is up to what your goals are as a player. If you are looking to improve on your abilities and "skills" in any way possible, then mouseclicking in PvP is probably not the best choice.

As far as rating goes, I believe that there is no black and white chart that states "they click so they can't reach 2k rating" or "they keybind so they will be above 2k easily". Arenas are about teamwork, coordination, communication and reacting to the actions of your opposing team.

If I was forced to answer what I believed was the most important aspect of gaining rating, it would have to be team synergy and communication. That's not stating that other aspects aren't crucial or important, just that I believe that at the very core of playing as a team lies communication and synergy.
