Im a frost mage, ive learned shadowweave and made the 3 epic bits.

i decided to retrain to spellfire and make a fire mage set as i might fancy a stint as a fire mage.

By learning spellfire , i figure ill be able to start grinding to make the spellfire set, and when ive got it all done ill respec to fire for a change. and have a set of clothes for each spec.

i unlearn the shadowweave, the npc says that by unlearning it ill not be able make any shadowweave recipes anymore, thats ok , fine ive done them, i now want to do spellfire.

The npc lets me unlearn it, at a cost of 150g, job done.

I then look at my clothes and as well as unlearning my recipes, its rendered all of my Shadowweave set useless, i cant use them!!!! (they turn red)
So ive basically lost 3 epics and 150g.

At no time in any dialogue in the npc text is there ANY warning that any clothes you have ALREADY MADE will be rendered useless, it ONLY say u wont be able to make any shadowweave recipes.

So im standing there (very annoyed) with 3 red (disabled items) on my character...
It leaves me with no choice but to relearn shadowweave, so i can have my clothes work again.

This costs me another 20g to relearn so im 170g out of pocket now........

This is pathetic, what was the point of the changes enabling you to swap specializations if they disable the set of clothes youve actually made already.
(without warning)

What am i sposed to wear to grind the spellfire set?
I didnt respec my talent tree, im still a frost mage, so why loose the set?

There ought to be a warning that not only do you unlearn the recipes you ALSO LOOSE your clothes youve MADE in that line.

Currently there isnt any warning and as a result ive lost a lot of cash for nothing.

Even when i put a ticket in and the gm ran thru it with me he agreed there wasnt any indication that you loose what clothes youve made, it ONLY says u unlearn the recipes.

The next thing i want to know is who in thier right mind thought this was an improvment ?
I feel completely robbed

Sounds like one of those silly mistakes the brain makes sometimes. That happens to everyone. According to your logic every player made item would have an extra tag,ie: Mace <requires blacksmithing>, because it was made by a blacksmith.

"Item requirements" listed below the item stats... well, says it all really.

You made an honest mistake, it happens. Don't look to put blame on someone else though.
