Anyway, as the title says I aim for this to be a short list complete with links of the very best and most popular compilations available for download.
If you want to add a UI to the list please reply with a link at the bottom of the thread - The link must include a picture preview.
As I said, I want all links to be the very best, and most popular... If I'm keeping every single submitted UI that won't quite be the case... since, lets face it - Most UI's out there are total crap. To sort that I want the forum community to comment on submitted OR accepted links, if the majority of comments are positive the UI will remain in the list ; If the majority are negative I will remove the link. I'll add all submitted links until a particular link receives a majority of negative comments.
Final note: As these are compilations - some addons included within them may be bugged or broken after patch days. If you find any compilations that have a bugged or broken addon, please report it here and try link an update.
::: For inexperienced users ::: INSTALLING THE COMPILATIONS. NOTE - some compilations include a README file which will go through the particulars of installing that UI. This guide will work for most UI's, but there may be some exceptions.
1.First we need to get rid of your previous interface enhancements and addons. EXIT WoW - go to your C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft directory and delete your WTF and INTERFACE folders.
2.Now extract the files from the UI you have downloaded to your C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft directory. These files are usually only an INTERFACE and WTF folder.
3.Go into the WTF folder, go into account, in there there should be a folder saying "accountname" - CHANGE it to your account name.
4.Go into the folder that you changed to your account name. In there, there should be a folder saying "servername" - CHANGE it to your server name.
5.Go into the folder that you changed to your server name. In there, there should be a folder saying "charname" - CHANGE it to your character name
After that, you should be ready to log in with your new UI.
***NOTE: UI's USING THE DISCORD MODS MAY NEED TO LOAD THE UI PROFILE THROUGH THE DISCORDS INGAME MENU - Use /dart go to options - load the appropriate profile. Use /duf go to options - load appropriate profile.
Anyway, I think I've dragged this on enough - I'll get started with the links. I hope, over time, there will be plenty of suggestions and this thread can turn into a great directory.
