Are you ready to fight? Prepare yourself!

The 2011 World of Warcraft Arena Pass has begun with the Practice Phase: the perfect time to experiment! You can check out all the various options available in the Arena Pass, and maybe try out some alternate team combinations before the serious fighting begins. Which classes do you want your three characters to be and what specs will they all have? Now is the time to set up your characters and prepare them for Ranked Ladder Phase 1 on June 8.

The Arena Pass Realm

You’ve probably already found your way in! But if not, once you’ve registered for the Arena Pass you’ll find an additional tab in the World of Warcraft realm list on logging in. From here, just select the Arena Pass 1 realm and log in!

Once you’ve logged into the realm you’ll find a large group of vendors nearby who will provide you with everything you need, including armor, gems and reforging. There’s an NPC who can teleport you to each of your faction’s capital cities and should you run out of gold there’s a Paymaster NPC who’ll willingly provide you with 5,000 more. You’ll never be poor on this realm!

There are no other NPCs or monsters in this unique version of Azeroth, but you’ll be able to find additional groups of these special Arena Pass NPCs in various towns and cities. This realm is totally focused on Arena Pass!

Gearing Up Your Gladiators

Though your characters will already have some great equipment when you create them, there’s a range of other gear to choose from. So take the time to consider the best combination of items for your characters.

You’ll also want to carefully set your talent spec and then sort out your gems, reforging and all those tiny little details which ensure your characters are ready for action. Your characters will already know all glyphs for their class, and you have a stack of Dust of Disappearance available, with more easily acquirable.

A potentially important part of planning your characters is doing so in conjunction with your 3v3 Arena teammates. You only have three character slots, so it might be wise for you to decide as a team which characters you want to have available. But what if you’ve not got teammates yet? Then check out this article to help you find some.

Got any advice for others setting up their characters? Maybe you’re looking for advice yourself. Well then, scroll down and check out the comments, or maybe visit and discuss it further in the Arena and Rated Battlegrounds forum.
