whats with this yards etc? who the hell uses this except americans?

if my frostbolt can reach 36 yards and I play on EU server please make it in Meters.

The yards used in World of Warcraft are purely fictional, they hold no reference to any measurement or measurements alive or dead. Any similarity with any measurement or measurements alive or dead is purely coincidental.

I suppose I could make up something to do with the King of Stormwind taking a long stride to determine the standard unit of measurement, but in all honesty I don't know why there is a unit of measurement called a yard that is about the length of one long step, I'm not sure anyone does.
