The void reaver "exploit".

As some of you may know, void reaver was downed in 53 seconds due to a priest using mind control on one of the humanoid packs and reducing is armour by alot each debuff. Blizzard said this was an exploit and im just wondering, using a priest to its full potential is an exploit? I suppose a druid tanking a boss in bear form is an exploit too because its also using one of its abilities? Or can someone explain to me why this is an exploit and not bad programming by blizzard as they should make the mobs immune to mind control.

The 53 second kill was the result of a known issue; using the issue in this way is considered an exploit.
