People are forced to post in the 500+ page thread, which is a nice concentrated place to pretty much ignore anything in it. I don't buy the nonsense that the mods actually read it, all you seem to be doing at the moment is shutting up people with legitimate concerns about their privacy on these forums.
Shame on you for that.
And also shame on you for perpetuating the official story about forum trolls. I find it personally insulting, and I'm sure the majority of these people agree with me, that you think us stupid enough to actually believe that.
This is not about trolls.
This is about Facebook.
The least you guys can do, and I'm pointing at Vaneras and Wryxian at the moment, the people swinging that massive banhammer with a goblin grin pained on it, is have the balls to say, 'you're right, reducing trolling is all about more active moderation, Real ID however is about Facebook integration'.
If you have any respect for your customers, at least tell them the honest to God naked truth.
