What's wrong with the current system?

Hey, I thought this thread wouldn't fit into the REALID feedback thread, because it's not feedback or anything. I was just wondering, what are other peoples' opinions.

What exactly is wrong with the current way the forums works? I really don't see anyone dying over a troll or a flame. Honestly, it's just the game. Why make it so serious suddenly that you MUST reveal who you are? Or are you forgetting it's just a simple game, nothing more? Why this odd break-through in forum-moderation? Was it really needed? I found these forums pretty fine the way they were, as i never liked anyone else knowing that i play wow, really. I mean nobody but my family knows about it, why make it so that if a friend or someone from school reads these forums he sees who i am and recognizes me.

What are your thoughts on it? Was it really that needed? Just force people to post on your highest level character or something, i don't know... Just ... Im really speechless as to what's happening and why.

These forums never were that bad to deserve this kind of make-over.

And anyways, what will people without facebook do? (sorry, if i misunderstood something, will go read it fully)
