And I think I fail to understand and I would love someone to clearify... will this happen automatically? Or does one have a choice? I would like the choice to keep FB and WoW separate even thought most my realID friends ingame have my Facebook-friendship aswell. I'd like to keep in control of that part.

The facebook integration is just an offer that will be available with new version of Battle.net.

It will allow you to quickly import Facebook friends into your Battle.net friends list.
