Adding people's real name, even last name for crying out loud. There will be less trolls, but its complete beyond me why these names will be free to see for everyone. Even if you need to be logged in we're talking about millions of total strangers who can see those names. When you have a game this big you have a responsibility. A responsibility your are not taking by thinking that making people post under real names is justified to make better forums and that its worth the shadowy side. You cant even control the in-game communities how are you going to control this, do you care with 11 million customers. I guess not. A 3rd party addon is ruling Azeroth and you have no clue what to do about it. With a game this big, and reaching so far beyond its actual virtual worlds, you just cant just out people real names for posting on a forum.

Do you actually have someone on your team who has a clue about human interaction, do you have someone who is knowledgeable on how technology is emotional perceived. You were naif about achievements, about armory and now you are naif about this. You have a game, a MMO, but you let the realm communities die for the sake of accessibility (and business). You tolerate the use of gearscore and achievement and let it be the primary way for people to approach each other. The forums need a clean up, and how, by making it personal. Obviously your amazing design team didnt have any ideas, because its only when you dont know what to do that you make it personal.

And I am not stupid, you think gaming combed with social networking is the future. And youre probably right, but you better start considering privacy.

I dont know anymore what this game is that im playing, but I wont involve myself here anymore.
