Blizzard Post
Now been doing some reaseach about this with multiple friends here and there.
Here is what we found out so far.

ICO (http://www.ico.gov.uk/) has been dragged into this matter even rumoured that some people went as far as sending this to ICC (http://www.icc-cpi.int/Menus/ICC/Home) not sure how much ICC in fact have to say about this but guess we will see.

This even did hit the news.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/10543100.stm

We have seen more than 1000 pages on the US forums and more than 300 on these that is agianst this.

Now checking over every country in EU and the US there is clearly quite a few laws broken no matter what blizzard says or does.
If just one person gets into problems due to this change you can in fact sue Blizzard, as they are the source for the person/persons to be able to find you.

(The french can even sue them already now as they have a law that allows them to sue things that can harm them in the future. Named "un recours en référé" wich is article 808 and 809 Code de Procédure Civile "civil procedural code")

I am rather sure quite a few countries does have this law aswell, not to mention the fact that we are talking about minors aswell, we all know there are some really sick and twisted people on this game and on the forums, personally i got 2-3 people banned over all the years i did play, that did start flirting with minors and wanted them to give them private info, yea sure some people have very rare names, but what about the 10.000s of kids that dosnt ?.

So to give it a good and bad side short.
Good Sides:
1)Less Trolls
anything else ? Hmm nope.

Bad Sides:
1)Puplic nameing.
2)Females/Kids/minority can be put in harms way. (notice i said CAN)
3)A lot of bosses google your name if you seach for a job what if they find out that Name/lastname suddenly is playing RP as a low life ass that is the skum of the univers. No job for you.
4)Most of the helpfull posters would disapear, personally i did post 3 guides all 3 became famous no way in hell i would post that puplic.
5)Lot of good people would leave the game as they are affraid of what next step is.
6) Easier to hack our accounts, sure most of us have authencatior but a lot of people still didnt buy it and by knowing a persons RL first and last name you get a hell lot closer to finding out thier account info.

(Remember this is just over the top of my head)

So how can we reach the same good sides without all the side effects that is currectly talk about.
A few suggestions from a old school programmer that is using a lot of forums.
1) More forum mods, let some of the outstanding people that have a long history of helping people get powers to help more and to be able to control more of the forums prehaps 2-3 people from every realm ?.
2) Let people be able to see all your chars in a link below the avatar you post with.
3) Harder bans, i know blizzard is agianst perment bans in game, but i am rather sure if someone did get a week ban from forums and then it did count in game it would lower the flaming and trolling a lot.

This is 3 ways we have seen work before, Dark Age of Camelot/Final Fantasy/AoC/War used these ways, sure the company had our private info but never did have to and never will puplish it.

Worst case is that some of us that has programming skills and knows how to control forums will setup a unoffical one where blizz has no powers in anyway.

Remember this is a informative post and if you wish to respond then post information and dont go all nerdrage, We are a lot that disagree on this but flaming and going nuts wont help anything at all.
