Email phishing ? WTF

Now, as regular forum goers know, gold selling companies regularly try to get accounts through email phishing, tricking the player into putting his details into a site that claims to be Blizzard.

Anyway, what's confusing me is this:

I've just had what any paranoid player would assume is a phishing attempt. The email is about a password reset request on my account, with a listed link to us.battle.net

Now, here's where the confusion is: It actually is from noreply@blizzard.com, and actually does link to a password reset page....making it legit...but, i can still login to my wow, and why is it going to the US part?

P.S. No i did not (conciously) request a password reset.
