The vanity slots for character customization is hot. People don't want to look like everyone else in their Tiers. During vanilla, all weapons and armor pieces looked unique. Sadly, Blizzard decided to leave this doctrine and concentrate on quantity instead of quality (when it comes to loot & tiers). And people are suggesting numerous 'vanity' improvements for characters. Like color selection for your tier, more "shirt-slots" or even an extra cosmetic armor set on top of your regular armor set.
Let's face it, aforementioned changes aren't going to happen because: too big, too much time, too much manpower needed. But, as the demand is very high, it would serve the community to at least implement a tiny bit of uniqueness to their character, though class specific.
I think it would be very nice of every class had a specific vanity slot for a specific piece of gear, like a shirt. That is displayable on top of the rest of the armor, like a tabard, if you will. You will be able to recognize all of these cosmetics on all classes, however, as it is class specific, you will of course notice it the most on your own colleagues. Why? Because you aren't as much irritated by the fact that all priests look the same, than when all your fellow paladins look like you... In my case that is.
So, a vanity slot for each class, think small and fun, not big. A libram for paladins maybe? Weapon decoration for warriors? A halo for priests? You figure it out.
