Updated classic race models in Cataclysm?

With the introduction of new races (first blood elves/draenei, now worgen/goblins) with far higher polygon counts, the older races are starting to look rather blocky and dated by comparison.

Are there plans to update the existing races' models in Cataclysm, or adding new models for us to choose from?

This isn't exactly true. We have said that this is something we are thinking about doing as we would like the old models to have the same level of quality as the newer models:
