once youve placed a bag in a storage slot can you later replace it with a bigger bag or are you stuck using the 1 you used?

I second this tip. If it doesn't work, move the bag out of the one you are replacing ;). If the bag is inside the one that you are replacing, you get an error.

It's almost like dividing by zero...

We think about this one all the time, be it an upgrade to the backpack, or making it replaceable by larger bags. We'd just have to be careful to not make it possible to have no bags equipped at any given time, because that would get messy. No guarantees on this one, but do know we're considering it. :)

Precisely. You cannot put a bag in the bag slot if you have no bag to hold a bag in... o.O or something like that, but the original comment was made to provide a little comedy (albeit a small dose).

The fact remains that we're not set on how, or even if we will allow for backpack upgrades/replacements in the near or even distant future.
