Recruit a friend not available?

With the new (and truly awesome) mount announced, I have to ask yet again - why is "Recruit a friend" not available in some EU countries, such as Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, etc.? Why are we not treated equally as other players from the EU?

Quoting from your support site, these are the eligible countries: Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, UK, Norway, Sweden, Greece, Ireland, Belgium, Spain, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania and Belgium.

What about the rest of the players?? I'd like to know the real reason, not some bogus made up stuff like that there is a law that prohibits you from giving free online stuff.

I'm a big fan and I've been an avid WOW player for 4 years, but this particular thing has been bugging me ever since I started to play. Is there any chance even we could get the option to use "Recruit a friend"? Thanks for answering:-)

We would of course like to make our Recruit a Friend offer available to every country if we could, but unfortunately there are legal restrictions in some countries outside our control that apply to schemes like the Recruit a Friend offer.

Although we do our best to adapt our offers to the different laws and regulations of the different countries in Europe, we will not gamble with the law, and must therefore exclude some countries from making use of our offers such as the Recruit a Friend offer.
