The war between Horde and Alliance

Horde and Alliance

These two factions are what the World of Warcraft is built on. its the core to your gameplay, to your locations, your language, your emotes...but most of all, it used to, in the past times (that which we like to call "Vanilla") to represent an Armor.

Yes fellow adventurers, back in the day, what made me proud of my faction was the Armor set i was wearing. long ago, in Vanilla, i used to play with my Human Paladin, had the full Knight-Lieutenant armor and i could tell you i was very pleased, proud and happy to do PvP with the Golden eagle shoudlers on me, represent at the time the Paladin class and the Alliance faction.

So the point i'm getting to is, if Blizzard are planning to get the whole "Horde vs Alliance" aspect to be living again, they might aswell start with giving something UNIQE that each faction can be proud of, because entering a battleground or arena and seeing the alliance and horde wearing same armors, just dosen't make the magic work.

Also, i would suggest that if you want to revive the old famous World-PvP again, you wanna give players some kind of special rewarding for killing another player in a non-mean-to-be PvP enviorment (like BG, Arena etc.). Today, we witness situation in which Horde and Alliance are passing by each other on open enviroments as they were invisible, instead of engaging each other.

Maybe, if it was WORTH engaging each other, it would revive World-PvP.

With much love to the game, Blizzard and its players all around the world, have a pleasent week mates!

It is true that the armor sets for Paladins and Shamans of the past were very representative of the factions, but that doesn't mean that it isn't possible any more to represent your faction through gear... The Tier 9 sets for an example look different for each faction, and you can also get things like city and faction tabards today that wasn't available in the past.

We do of course appreciate any ideas or suggestions people might have on how representing ones faction could be made more distinctive and cooler than today, so post away people. :-)

On the topic of World PvP, I believe there is a dedicated thread somewhere were people can post their ideas for ways to make World PvP more fun or interesting.
