I knew my persistence would pay off. You can't resist me, Wryxian!!

Thanks!! Probably won't solve it over night, but it's good to see you are listening :)
Unfortunately Fred, though as I said your persistence was commendable, the FCMs are based purely on population tracking and analysis and not by request. However, we are pleased that your wishes and our analysis are in agreement this week. ;-)

Will you pls open free transfer from Silvermoon?
Based purely on the population and faction balance of this realm, it's very likely Silvermoon will have Alliance-only FCMs soon.

Good Morning,
I do think it's time to open a Free Transfer away from Runetotem, the realm is simply not playable after 20:00 ET, instances cannot be launched, if you are in raid you lag and you have to stop playing, it's not fun to play anymore.
I'm afraid this is true for the whole Cyclone Battlegroup, but I'm not sure about that.
Thanks.
It is likely that, purely due to population and faction reasons, that we will have FCM away from Runetotem in the near future.

Dragonmaw is SURELY above Burning Steppes in balancing priority... shame on you...
Except that what you're not taking into account is that our plans for Burning Steppes prevent us from feeling comfortable from either suggesting people start new characters there or to move to the realm. Don't worry, Burning Steppes is still high on our list of realms that need attention and we do have plans for the realm.

I figured I'd make a longer post so maybe I'll get an answer.

Why is Kazzak up for FCM for both factions? There is around 1,5 horde for every 1 alliance which is good for a PvP realm but why mess with this and maybe break the balance? its obvious that mostly the smaller faction will move away (tho I'm not sure if even significant amounts take it on Kazzak (both A and H) because the realm is really nice). We don't really have lag connected to the realm, we don't have ques.

When we had highest que in Europe you didn't want to open FCM now you do but Its just risking the realm balance when we don't need it. If you really wanna make Kazzak a source realm make it horde only or the only thing you'll achieve is a little polishing for a medium realm but with the price of messing up the balance on a Full one, not a smart move.
Pretty much every time a realm has had a large queue, it has also had an FCM. So if we did once miss an FCM from Kazzak one week (and I haven't gone back to check if we did or not), then it was a very rare oversight. Anyhow, the reason why it has FCM for both factions is because even though it is Horde dominated like pretty much all PvP realms, the realm actually has a pretty healthy population on both factions. So the FCM in this case was to help reduce the large population of the realm and not something faction specific.

Tracking population or not - just open transfer away from Nordrassil Alliance so we can get the hell out of this battlegroup and ancient server.

Definatly the worst battlegroup in EU and constantly the problem is ignored by the blizzard team as we blindly continue to pay our subs like good consumers lol!

PCT is always an option but with 7 characters above 70 on that server it would be expensive indeed.

Open Nordrassil, or alternativly stop adding minor content patches and stuffed animals in the cash shop and please just find a fix where PVP can actually exist on Frenzy battlegroup ..... it has gone on long enough as it is.

Rant mode indeed but it seems this thread is the only one moderators and bliz employee's care to look at as post after post on the frenzy BG forums are ignored altogether.

All the best
Unfortunately now and then some posts in this thread can be a bit confusing. The reason Nordrassil has no FCMs is that it is both of a healthy population and also one of our top PVE realms in terms of faction balance. This is the state of a realm that we want all realms to be in. So no, we haven't any current plan of FCMs from this realm.

So yes if a faction balanced and healthy population realm isn't for you, then you need to know that achieving this state is our goal for all realms.

It can be useful information for Blizzard. It feels like there is no balance on Balnazzar, where I play.
For example Wintergrasp is controlled by Horde for almost all the time, the towers in world areas are controlled by Horde and we lose battlegrounds all the time. I stopped to go BG, often it is like 5 Alliance/10 Horde players in match. I also get ganked by Horde players much more often then ever before while making quests. It became no fun to play anymore. Many ppl on this realm says that it's dead on Alliance side.
I think that it can help to move some Alliance players to our realm.
It is quite possible that Balnazzar might become the recipient of FCMs in the future.

Hi,

Are there any plans for Mazrigos?

There was a recent FCM for alliance only to Mazrigos, but alas that didn't work.
I recently logged on with an Alliance character and found there were a total of 18 ppl on the alliance side online at that time.
I'm pretty sure we've commented on Mazrigos before, in previous threads. But yes there are plans for Mazrigos -- very similar situation to what I just replied above when someone asked about Burning Steppes. So read that post, as it applies to Mazrigos also.

Maybe it has been asked before, but is there going to be other FCM-relative realms to migrate to from Magtheridon, other than Trollbane anytime soon ? I really hope so, personally I dont want to move to Trollbane since its alliance dominated, and magtheridon is just gettin worste all the time. Hope to get an answer :) tyvm dear sir.
It might be possible other realms are opened for Horde-only character moves but at this stage Trollbane still needs that Horde loving. Check out their realm forum though -- they say the realm has become a lot better due to Horde migrating there. Maybe you could give it a go? ;-)

Can you clarify at this moment if this will be a PVE conversion as previously attempted on Vek’nilash?

Or perhaps a server merge?

Also how are the statistics on Vek’nilash since its conversion? Has this proven to be a successful excercise?

Thanks in advance
We cannot at this stage clarify what plans I was referring to, somewhat in case things turn out to prevent them from becoming reality.

However in reference to your question about Vek'nilash, you're most welcome to view the main thread about the realm conversion and read people's comments there -- including our own.
http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=12304662580&sid=1

Basically the realm is now the most balanced in faction it has been in a very long time, and has a higher population than it has had for a long time, too. Those who left have found new homes on the destination realms that were provided. Those who have stayed are seeing lots of new characters and we are already considering FCMs for endgame characters to the realm too -- basically we are continuing to follow through with the goal of greater population and better balance.

Though to be fair the realm conversion wasn't seen as a great experience for everyone concerned, but many people still seem relatively happy with it and all four realms involved (Vek'nilash and the three destination realms) have had positive changes in both their population and faction balance.

Nordrassil is in dire need of a realm transfer. While playing, you can feel the server straining from the amount of players. At peak times it can take well over 10 seconds to just talk to any NPC. I know 10 seconds doesn't sound a lot, but it can effect gameplay vastly when trying to do simple tasks such as leveling a profession (Profession Trainer, AH, Bank, Spell Book, Profession). All these take a while to open.

I also saw that Nordrassil is at "High" population status. Any future plans to let us get off the lag fest?

EDIT: also read the post above about Nordrassil being balanced. It maybe balanced, but the fact that it has so many players on it makes it near unbearable to play at times. I don't see why I should have to pay to get to a non-lagging server.
We only really consider FCMs for queued or very high population realms, or realms with severe faction imbalance. Nordrassil does not qualify for either cases.

What is important to say here, though, is that you're mentioning latency. FCMs are not done to resolve latency, they are done pretty much purely for population or faction reasons. Latency is an issue we consider very important, though. And that is why we have been collecting feedback on latency in the thread I'm linking to below, as this feedback helps inform our technical teams and help ensure our efforts are focused in the right places. Please consider taking the time out to reply to that thread. Thanks in advance.

If we open FCM to Silvermoon we will post it in this thread, or one of the ones that replaces it. We post up a new thread like this every week, around mid to late afternoon on Wednesday.
