The Purification of Quel'Delar bugg. Help me!

Hello.

Yesterday I obtained the quest item witch can drop in the new heroics.
After some time I ended up at the part were I needed to throw the sword in the center of the light from sunwell.
Doing this I should see a sword witch I can pick up after some talking but this didn't happend.
There was no sword to see.

My Question;

How can I restore the quest item to throw it in the sunwell light again?
Is it save to abbon the quest and kill the DK again at the dead scar, or will I only delete it and have to start from the beginning again or even worse need to win the item again.

Whilst we're not support folk on this forum, I can assure you it is safe to abandon a quest. You just have to collect the quest again from the same person or object that handed you the exact quest you just abandoned. You would not have to begin the chain again, in-fact, you wouldn't be able to. :)

Just head back to where you got this part of the quest chain and retake the quest. Good luck!
