Please report all nerf topics that don't justify the reason for a nerf. Might sort out the sad state of these forums a tiny bit.

Thanks.

Please report all nerf topics in general! Calling for nerfs (or suggesting similar provocative "solutions" for that matter)is never "justified". Nerf calling serves no other purpose than to provoke and fuel flamewars, both of which are things that are not wanted on these forums.

Instead of nerf-calling, please either provide constructive and well thought out suggestions or keep it to expressing the concern you are having!

And last but not least; the classic link to a magnificent sticky thread that never gets old:

Vaneras I just wonder, if any form of nerf calling is bannable,

Nerf calling is a bannable offence in most cases yes, but if the nerf-caller at least tried to be constructive, then we will merely lock the nerf thread with a link to the forum rules.

Most nerf callers are however not constructive, and in most cases they are quite abusive and provocative as well, and those guys do get banned without question.

Q u o t e:
how do you implement nerfs?
I mean, do you only 'nerf' classes when you (Blizzard) think they deserve it?

Every nerf has a reason behind it, and those reasons are always based on testing and data gathered from live realms. If the developers are not happy with something or if something turns out not performing as intended, then changes will be put in place to fix this, be it buffs or nerfs. Feedback from the players is always welcome as good suggestions and valuable input can come from anywhere, but in the end, the decision to buff or nerf a class lies with the developers.

Q u o t e:
For example many people find warrior and feral damage too high. How could they suggest that it needs to be toned down without getting banned?

As I mentioned before, stay constructive. If you wish to suggest something, make sure that it does not come across as provocative. If you feel a class is too strong, back it up proper data and examples to support your arguments. Also, it is always better to try and confine yourself to expressing the concern your are having instead of suggesting a solution, because if your suggested solution comes off as being provocative (or if it is just plain bad or not feasible), then you have lost all credibility and the work you have put into posting your feedback has been for nothing.
