Battle.net: I'm confused

Ok, so I merged my wow account to a battle.net account, took a few seconds, no problem.

Now my partners seperate account (same email) has to be merged, but the FAQ tells me two different things.

Q u o t e:
My family plays World of Warcraft together. Should we create a single Battle.net account for all of our World of Warcraft accounts?

No. Sharing access to a World of Warcraft account, other than by a parent or guardian with a single minor, is a violation of World of Warcraft’s Terms of Use. You should create a separate Battle.net account for each family member’s World of Warcraft account. In addition, future Battle.net features will make it beneficial for players to have the Battle.net account they use associated with their own online identity. Creating separate accounts for you and your family ensures you will be able to take advantage of these features when they are introduced later on.

Two questions later

Q u o t e:
How do I log in if I’ve merged multiple World of Warcraft accounts?

After you log in to World of Warcraft using the Battle.net Account, you will be prompted to select which of the merged World of Warcraft accounts you wish to play. Players with multiple World of Warcraft accounts are still able to log in and play them simultaneously.

So, do I have to set up a seperate email and seperate battle.net account for hers, or merge hers into my battle net?

As stated in your first quoted question, you should create a separate Battle.net account for your partner as it is not OK to share accounts. The second quoted question does not contradict that.

Hope that helps.

Nvm, think I understand now. one battle net for all your accounts, seperate accounts for seperate ppl.
Yep. The second question says "I've" and does not refer to multiple people. ;-)

So are you saying that each person has to have their own individual email address? I have set up my battelnet account, so what do I do with my 12 yo son's account? He shares my email address. How do we manage two accounts with one email?
You could get a new free email from a range of places such as Gmail. The accounts I have linked to Battle.net all go through to a Gmail account I rarely ever access.
Q u o t e:
Are you still able to play on 2 accounts at a time after you merged them into one BNet account ?Because i often interract between chars of different wow accounts. Launching 2 to 3 wow to do it.
Yes this is still possible to do and in fact I occasionally do it too without any issue.

I'm curious as to why you'd want to play two accounts at the same time, especially as that is two subscription costs, for those that have them, it's never struck me as something I need?
And fair enough to, if you don't feel you need (or want) it, then there's no reason to. The first reason I created a second account was to create bank alts for the guild I used to run, back before there was a guild bank to use. Since then I have also leveled two characters at once by playing two clients at the same time. Nowadays it's useful to sometimes log in one of my 80s to help out a lower level alt with a tough quest or to run them through Scarlet Monastery, for example.

I remember those days :)

Thanks, like the previous answer to my question mentioned, I'll do a bit of research although wouldn't using some sort of software to control two machines or clients at the same time violate one of your rules, unless of course you supply an extra set of hands with each additional copy of WoW purchased therefore negating that need :D
Well, for a start, it's quite easy to just stick the low level character on /follow and control purely the higher level one. ;-)

You don't need a new account for a bank char :)
Yes you do when your account is already filled with your own alts and personal bank chars. ;-) But again, there's need and then there's want! I didn't need to have bank alts for my guild, but I wanted to, to make things a bit easier for my guild.
