Thunderfury and Cataclysm...

Hey,

So, I'm currently working on getting Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, and all I need now is the second binding from Baron Geddon. I go every reset in hopes of it dropping, because I know that if I miss a single reset, that could mean the difference between getting it and never getting it.

But, my main concern is, as I'm sure it is for those who already own the sword, will Thunderfury be removed when Cataclysm is launched?

There are many rumors going around that Molten Core, along with most of Blackrock Mountain will be changed drastically or even removed completey, and removing Molten Core also means removing the ability to get the quest to obtain Thunderfury.

Although, let's just say that I obtain Thunderfury before the expansion hits... Will it be removed from my inventory when the expansion's out, or will the ability to obtain it just be removed, allowing those who put so much effort, time and gold into getting it for themselves to keep it?

I'm sure there's no one here who can confirm anything, but I'd like to hear other people's thoughts on this matter, and it'd be even greater if a Blue could give their two cents. The last thing I want is to farm B. Geddon to death, finally get that last binding and the sword, only to have it taken away from me.

Thanks for reading.

It is not okay that this topic derailed into some kind of odd debate on the rights and wrongs of forum posting and the popularity of a radio show.

We have forum rules, those show clearly what we consider wrong and some of this includes trolling and derailing threads. We do not consider people asking questions to be wrong, even if we empathise with the reactions some of the questions provoke. We do not want this to be a forum where people are afraid to ask questions in case they get trolled into wishing they had never said a thing, or worse, banned for asking a simple but pertinent question. Those type of forums exist elsewhere if people want them.

Honestly if you're looking for more focused and relevant forum posts, hanging around in the General Discussion forum isn't probably the best choice of place to find them, as it is usually people's first place to go if they're uncertain about where they should ask, and people ask questions here obviously without looking anywhere for the answer -- and yes the answer might even be obvious, but maybe they just wanted to hear someone else's opinion.

I can see the General forum can be a bit like a candle to a moth, though. Unfortunately, candles and moths don't mix well.

Please keep things on topic, and please do not stir unnecessary grief for fellow forum posters.
