The pink elek censorship issue

There have been several threads about pink eleks on parade not being avaiable here in Europe. Deep in some of these threads, it turns out that local authorities have forbidden this quest because of it's deep connection to substance abuse.

WoW is rated as violent. (And also bad language, where did PEGI get THAT from?)

WoW is however NOT rated as a game of drug abuse. If it was, it would lose it's rating as being okey for 11-years-olds.

Okey, first of all: WTF?
Criticizing LAST years brewfest is one thing, but this year we have the goggles. This year there are NO brewfest quests that require anyone to do any substance abuse. So, why keep the quests removed this year?

Second, WTF again?
I could agree with the censors that last year's brewfest was questionable, but how do they pick? Really?

The pink eleks quest is a obvious joke about substance abuse being bad.
Alcohol destroy your brain so badly it makes you hallucinate and see pink elephants, yada yada.

Meanwhile, the old version of "Disturbing the peace" can be seen as the message that building up destructive levels of alcohol in your blood is the only way to party.

But the censor attacked the anti-alcoholism joke instead of the pro-alcoholims joke?
This kind of phenomena is one of the main reasons why censorship sucks: The censors tend to be clueless or worse. (I'm not claming that we shouldn't have a rating system, it's a nessesary evil when children are involved.)

Bottom line: We have our goggles! Give us our Eleks back!
