You are correct, we reduced the expert riding skill price in 3.2.2 to 225g. We also changed the faction discounts for the riding skill vendors in Honor Hold and Thrallmar to use Stormwind and Orgrimmar faction.

These changes were done because we wanted more players hitting level 60 to be able to pick up flying, and the price of 600g just did not feel like a reasonable expectation for most newly dinged level 60's to have, especially after sinking some gold into the level 60 abilities. The change to the NPC factions just simply made sense as new players entering Hellfire Peninsula would not have any Thrallmar or Honor Hold faction to benefit from.
