Question about catalysm

I tried to seek this info but couldn't find it anywhere.

So the Azeroth will get re-arranged quite a bit. My question is, will we play as usual in old azeroth to level 60 and then go on with other expansions like always. But after 80 (or 78?) you can then enter the Catalysm, in other words, the new azeroth?

I just see many people thinking they would see the new Azeroth right away even at starter levels. But this in a way does not make any sense if we are to play through the "storyline".

I am sorry if this question sounds stupid, but oh well :)

No, but it will make it much more refreshing. Level 60+ mobs existed in Azeroth back in vanilla, now level 85+ mobs will exist there.

There will be just as much peril for the levelling character as there used to be. You will certainly be able to avoid the high level mobs. You may be gibbed by one from time to time. I will admit that when levelling my first character I had stepped into the Burning Steppes. I turned back quite quickly. It's all about knowing where to go, and where to avoid. :)
