After the ghastly citizens of Karazhan were defeated, the tower was purged from the evil taint of demons and undeads. But the powerful arcane essences,greatly empowered by the united ley lines of Azeroth, are eternal. After the great explosion created by Deathwing and without Malygos and his Blue Dragonflight guarding the place, the powerful arcane magic leaked beneath the surface and altered the area known as The Crypt. In the past,it is said that the area served as a prison and a torture place for the most evil criminals, although some say it also served as an experimental area for summoning certain dark creatures. Now, with some help from wild tainted magic, a portal appeared under Medivh's tower. A portal that does not lead to the Twisting Nether, but rather, a twisted version of Realm of Shadows, populated by the most terrifying abominations of darkness, some that not even Lich King was aware of.
Basically, it will be an instance based around Realm of Shadows. It would make use of phasing technology, constanting switching from the actual Azeroth and Realm of Shadows, fighting both physical abberations and shades in Realm of Shadows.
