Will challenge modes be cross realm?

The fact that there is a "Realm Best" section in the main ui suggests otherwise. But Ive been unable to get a straight answer anywhere on this. Ive recently swaped realms and would love to do challenge modes with my friends via real id if we can.

Does anyone know if this will be possible?

If Challenge Modes can be done cross-realm, I think we need a region ranking system (US, EU, etc) instead of realm. It would make more sense.

Leaderboards will also display information on a regionwide basis as well as by realm.
