I just thought I'd pop in briefly to let you all know that I've forwarded this information on. If/When we get more information for you, we'll post to follow-up.

Just a brief follow-up, this is going to be fixed in the next patch. (No I can't tell you exactly when that will be, sorry.) We'll be keeping an eye on things as always in case anything else crops up with it.

Is Neth our CM?

Do we have a CM?!?!?!?!?!

D:

There aren't any class CMs sorry. We try to get around as much as we can to people when we can. :)

OMG my post got a Blue response. =o

Sorry, I was under the impression from other blue posters and people in my guild that we have class CMs. Nice to know, however, that you're checking the hunter forum, Neth. :) :) <3

So does this mean that you all won't stone me if I tell you that while we know about this problem, it actually has been delayed in being fixed? It won't be making this next patch unfortunately due to it needing a bit more work to get it working as well as it needs to be, but will be fixed and is being worked on.

Sorry guys. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

i read somewhere that FD was changed so that now if you FD with 3 mobs or so aggroed, you may FD for 1, but the other 2 may resist and keep on attacking. Maybe that is the problem

I don't know all the details unfortunately as far as what they are having to sort out, but it's true that you could have a mob resist the feign death. While fd would wipe aggro for the others, it wouldn't for that one. You should get a message telling you it was resisted however.

Well this has made my day. Now can we get a reply about the pet growl/ holding aggro thing. Such as, pets just don't hold aggro anymore, and growl 7 is worse than growl 6.

Hrmm.. I'll take note of it.

For me it sucks that they can easily nerf us into PVE oblivion, but can't seem to fix FD or Growl.

In addition, the "if you don't like it - leave" tone of the CM responding to hunter issues has me thinking just that.

In no way do I have a "if you don't like it- leave" tone. The only thing that someone might misconstrue as that is the idea of someone respeccing if they feel they aren't getting enough out of their character. Different play styles require different adjustments.

I just want to say thank you Neth, having a blue here in the hunter forums is a nice change and we appreciate the heads up you've given us.

You've touched on the FD issue and a bit on the Growl/aggro issue, i was wondering if you could ask around and find out more about any proposed changes to how pet skills will be learned.

During beta, a blue had mentioned that there weren't any plans to give us an additional stable slot - instead they were looking at changing how pet skills were obtained and they were looking at a system where you didn't have to keep a stable slot open at all times for taming and skill collecting purposes.

Mind poking around and seeing if you could find out anything about that?

thanks :)

That's actually a good one to bring up again. I know it's a topic of interest and I just don't know how or when it will be implemented so we'll try to follow-up.

Nethaera

What about our pets when we are flying on a mount, they wont fly with us they run along the ground training everything, if we fly off the map to get to another place the pet will die as he runs off the map and falls to his death.

From what I understand the change I stated for the Warlocks will also apply for Hunters. Should that change for some reason, I'll let you all know but I'm going to go with that answer. ;)

Just as a follow-up for people I have the following:

Feign Death is still an issue that is being worked on. Once we know the fix is good and we're going to be putting it in, we'll try to let you know.

Unfortunately I don't have any new news about the upcoming pet ability additions or what changes are being worked on for pets at this point in time. I'm sorry about that. There are many layers of things being worked on presently and unfortunately a lot of things tie in together so that we can't release much on information until things shake out and are more solidified. Once we have more though, we'll do our best to get you the information.

Edit: oo, first. Also, another thing. The Hourglass of the Unraveller was supposed to be fixed in the next content patch to affect ranged attack power, yet myself and many others have tested it on the PTR and it still doesn't. Anyway you can look into it?

I wouldn't consider the patch we're putting in a content patch. While there are fixes and changes implemented, a content patch usually includes something significantly new. It's splitting hairs a bit but something to keep in mind.

That being said though, it is still set to be fixed in a future patch. I just can't give you the specific date on that, sorry.

What was the answer the warlocks got? I hopped to that forum but they have more spam than we do! LOL

I was so sad the time I saw lil Sniffer running below me and then I flew off the edge. I was like 'oh there he finally vanished from being too far away.' Well, until I tried to call him and it said 'Your pet is dead.'

They should vanish when you mount a flying mount, ground mount or taxi then reappear when you dismount or land is how it's being planned to work.
