Please Do Tooltips the Old Way

I'm not sure why this decision was made, but I've noticed that on my mage, paladin, and priest that my abilities' tooltips no longer list the actual amount of damage healing they do. For instance, Shadow Word: Pain just says that it is a powerful damage over time spell, and I should use it to kill things that ta take a long time to kill. Well, okay, but what would be more helpful would be to tell me how much damage it does. The "average vs range" option in the interface options did not seem to correct this.

Seeing exactly what my spells and abilities do is the best way to understand how to use them. Can we just go back to the numbers again? I don't see why this information was removed.

You can change this in your interface settings. Look for the "Beginner Tooltips" option.

Yes. Quoting this just to get the word out there.

This is the kind of deal where we can't make a beginner option that beginners have to opt into. Instead, we have to let more advanced players opt out of the option.

If you want to see numbers again on level 1-20 abilities, change your Beginner Toolips option to off.
