FEEDBACK: Proving Grounds

In the most recent beta build, Heroic dungeons may now be accessed through the Dungeon Finder (LFG) system. However, as will be the case in the live game, you must complete the Silver Proving Grounds challenge for a given role if you wish to queue for a level 100 Heroic dungeon as that role.

Next build there will be a regular garrison NPC that allows you to enter the Proving Grounds, but for testing, the Beta instance teleporter (Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade) should offer direct transport to the Proving Grounds. Tuning is not final, but please give the system a try, and post your feedback in this thread. (Then go queue for a Heroic dungeon and post your feedback in the appropriate dungeon thread!)

Is there supposed to be a new environment? I'm just being ported to the same place in Kun-lai, and the test/challenge is the same.

Same environment - retuned and crucially redesigned to now scale all your opponents with respect to your level and item level, rather than normalizing your stats as was the case in Mists.

We have more wide-reaching updates and plans that we'd like to do, since there's a ton of untapped potential in Proving Grounds, but getting the basic functionality and tuning in place with the new system is our first priority.

Not sure what's going on, but I wasn't able to open the Silver trials. I even exited and tried it again, and nothing happened. My character is a level 96 Death Knight. Not sure if that has any relevance on what's going on, though.

You must be level 100 to progress past Bronze.

Just to clarify, you can only access waves beyond Bronze at level 100. Also, enemy strength will scale up as your gear improves, but doesn't scale down below a minimum item level for a given player level (so you can't wear outdated gear to get an advantage). If you're looking to test Silver or higher, you're going to want to use one of the Level 100 PvP premade characters to do so.
