10/07/07 Posting spoilers

Posting spoilers is one of the worst ways to troll; not to mention the amount of players whose enjoyment and anticipation can potentially be utterly ruined.

Anyone posting a spoiler, whether it's confirmed or not, will receive a permanent ban.

Edit:
Yes, I am big HP fan.
Any other spoilers will be and have been, in the past, treated the same, however.
Unless it's concerning unreleased content, posting WoW screenshots is not a bannable offense, but we reserve the right to change that opinion ;)

Wuld it be okay if you'd make a post like:

*OMG SPOILARZ WATCH OUT*

*Insert spoiler here*

*SPOILARS END HERE*

?

Giving a fair warning would be alright.

This is the most silly thing I've ever heard.
Please tell us what we are allowed to use this forum for then. Obviously we're not allowed to discuss upcoming content, or content already in the game since it can all be viewed as a spoiler. Perhaps you want it just to be a whining forum (which it is 95% already, but still)?

Some examples:
"Zul'aman is going to be a raid instance with trolls." - Oh no, I just spoiled it for everybody who hasn't read the official information.
"Baron Geddon turns a random player into a bomb during the fight" - Oh no I just spoiled it for everybody who hasn't been to MC.
"Mankriks wife is located south of crossroads, near some huts" - Oh no I just spoiled it for everybody who haven't completed the level 20 quest.

I think it's obvious how ridicules this is. If you really feel that this is spoiling and a bannable offence, then you might as well go ahead and ban us all, coz then the forum is useless. And while doing so, please elaborate on what we're allowed to discuss in the general discussion forum, since pretty much anything related to the content of the game could be seen as a spoiler for other players who haven't experienced it yet. Especially when judging by your vague description as quoted above. Or is it perhaps meant as yet another carte blanche to just ban people randomly because you don't agree with what they're saying?
I fail to see why you want an official forum where the only thing that can be posted in general discussion is the typical "nerf this, nerf that", "gief new realm", and "realm X sucks" threads..

Oh who cares anyway. I've had it with this forum. If we're not allowed to discuss the game any longer, then it has lived out its utility for me as a player. Buh bye.

You started this before my edit, didn't you :)

Banning for any reason, or no reason at all is in the ToS though, so learn2read.

Welcome home, Mister Stupid.

Actually, it is, Bondurant. Please go troll on some other non-Blizzard forums :)

Ale tastes like the last bit of lager that you leave for a while and then would have come back to, if you didn't know any better.

Fixed ;)

Who on earth cares about Harry freaking Potter....

It doesn't have to be Harry Potter.

Some people seem to be missing the point.

Imagine the next film you're really looking forward to, or the book you're reading.

It can't be fun to have someone else already tell you how it ends or what key characters die.

Is not what I expect out of people Payed to Moderate/Inform on forums.

So many different ways of putting that and yet, it never fails to give me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside when I hear it...

Thank you for your heartfelt feedback.
