First day doing lv80 dungeons... not good!

Today, for the first time in my WoW career, I started doing level 80 dungeons like FoS, PoS, HoR, ToC (lol at these acronyms, seriously) and a couple of heroics. I was really excited to try them out because pretty much every instance I did up until lv80 was fairly simple.

But today has been horrible. Let me describe my experiences over the past god-knows-how-many hours...

My first heroic starts with Ahn'Kanet. Upon entering, a paladin sarcastically comments on how 'imba' I am and decides to leave. Someone else comes back, and we clear through the dungeon fairly swiftly. No deaths. But we did only three bosses. Why? Because the other paladin and druid were being extremely rude about how long it takes to clear a heroic, to the point where the Pala sat by himself for 10 mins as a childish protest while we cleared out the rest of the dungeon because we wanted to do more bosses. Everyone is so impatient. What is wrong with taking your time in heroics? Everyone told me to make careful, logical pulls when I started heroics and I did. Anyway, moving on: we finish the instance fine, and I move on to the next one...

Heroic Strat. The people were immediately skeptical of my gear, but I proved them wrong when we had a 100% clean run with no deaths and nice kills.

FoS was fine. People were nice. But then came PoS... people were STILL skeptical of my gear. We cleared the instance with no problems, and moved on to HoR. By the time we reach HoR, a mage and a rogue leaves because they are convinced that mine and the healer's gear are not good enough to do it. I do HoR with a newly formed party - my first time doing it - and it goes very swiftly. No deaths, and I was rarely under 50% health. The healer had pretty standard gear, too.

Then came a heroic Halls of Stone. Again, a mage leaves because he feels my gear sucks. The healer asks for my defense, so I tell him 517. He tells me I need 'at least 535 to tank here'. I suppose he was right in that it would have made it easier, but it soon dawned on me that this amazingly-geared shaman was just impatient. We skipped a bunch of bosses cause he couldn't be arsed. I tell him to give me a chance, and we did the final boss with no issues (I died once at some golems, but it was an unlucky hit.)

I really don't know what to say right now. There are so many things I find wrong about heroic dungeoning now... not only is EVERYONE assuming that I have no skill to make up for my gear, they are also incredibly patient and downright rude to me... and no offence, but the rudeness seems to come from well-geared players who are 'too cool for school' etc.

Sorry for the rant, but I finally see why people are sick of how demanding people on gear and instancing (in certain places). You know what the worst part is? I got 5 pretty good epics today, but I don't feel like it's worth it. I don't know how you guildless people do it!
