StarCraft II

All eyes in the StarCraft world are focused on the biggest StarCraft II event yet. Sixteen of the biggest names in the game will compete in the Intel Extreme Masters, organised by the Electronic Sports League, at this year’s gamescom in Cologne, Germany, from August 19 to 22. One of the most exciting events from the beta, the ZOTAC-Cup, is back for good! Taking place every Sunday at 14:00 CET, each thrilling tournament has space for up to 512 players. Warcraft III

The 148th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup concluded last weekend with a surprise upset, as Abdulaziz ‘CrunCher’ Abed broke European and Asian domination to become the second American to ever win the tournament. In a gripping and intense final he managed to beat one of the most accomplished South Korean players, Hyo Sub ‘FoCuS’ Eom, with a score of 3-2, pocketing the first place prize.
