Real ID and Cyrillic text

Now that patch 3.3.5 is live, players from the various different European regions are able to talk with each other via the Real ID feature. Unfortunately, Real ID has a minor font display issue for some players who use a non-RU game client (EN, DE, ES, FR) and interact with friends who use Cyrillic characters in their name or in chat. In order to address this issue swiftly, we have made available an updated font file that you can download and save to your WoW installation directory, which should fix any UI text displaying incorrectly.

Below is a step-by-step guide to installing and using the updated font:
  • Download the file “fonts.zip” from this location: http://media.wow-europe.com/realid/fonts.zip
  • Unzip this file. It contains a folder named Fonts, with two fonts inside: ARIALN.ttf and FRIENDS.ttf.
  • Place this “Fonts” folder in your WoW client’s root directory. For example, if you have WoW installed in “C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft”, the “Fonts” folder should be placed as “C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Fonts”.
  • Run the WoW client!

I hate to scratch that wound (for some) but why cant we still communicate in Greek although the fonts you posted support and contain them ?
The languages we support for WoW in Europe are English, French, German, Spanish and Russian.
