Blizzard Post
Coming Wednesday we will be implementing a final patch, before The Burning Crusade comes out and the Dark Portal opens.
This means that we expect this week's maintenance to last from 05:00 CET until 13:00 CET.

09/01 Update:
Additionally Earthen Ring will be undergoing extended maintenance until approximately 17:00 CET.

09/01 Update II:
The times of the maintenance have been slightly changed from "05:00 CET until 13:00 CET" to now be from "03:00 CET until 11:00 CET."

This will also affect Earthen Ring's maintenance, which will now be scheduled to end at approximately 15:00 CET.

10/01 Update:
We are in the process of wrapping up the scheduled maintenance. We have to resolve one minor issue, which we expect not to last longer than 30 minutes. We expect all realms (except Earthen Ring) to be back before 11:30 CET and will keep you informed of any changes.

10/01 Update:
We are still working on bringing all the realms back up and will let you know when we have more information.

this usually lead to;
"Sorry to say maintenance will be extended 2 hours, untill 15:00"
2 and a half hours later, @15:30
"we're terrbily sorry to say we had to extend the maint. 2 more hours, untill 17:00"
4 hours later @21:00 players yelling on forums;
"omg servers back!!!"
followed by 1 billion new "stuck at character screen" "stuck at loading screen" topics
/sigh

i couldnt care less tho even servers would be down for a week now, TBC IS ALMOST HERE YAY!!!!! xD

I distinclty remember complaints when we finished maintenance too early last time ;)

erm, surely the date should be 10/1?!

The maintenance will be done on the 10th, this is correct. But the date in the subject is always the date of posting.
