Wrongfully suspended

Two friends and I recently decided to try guild wars 2. One day into playing the game and my friend attempts to log on only to see that he has already been suspended for what appears to be a name violation. Then name in question doesn’t appear to have any negative words or profound language. It would also only be the first violation, which I am to understand is not to be grounds for being suspended. All in all this is really ruining the expirance of the game as playing together is the main point of a multiplayer/Massive-multiplayer online game.

First, welcome to the game.
Second, I’m sorry that one of your friends is having difficulties.

Now, according to my research, the action that was taken on his account was not in relation to a questionable name, but because the purchase raised flags about possible fraud. Please note that this does not mean it was a fraudulent purchase! It simply means that something caused a question to arise, whether it’s the credit card, a difference in the billing data, or something of that sort.

The ticket is in the proper queue and it will be reviewed soon. If for some reason your friend still needs help after three days, feel free to post in the Tickets for Review thread, which is at the top of this Account Support sub-forum. I do not feel it will take that long at all to get this sorted out.

Thanks to you and your friends for supporting our game.
