I want to try to spend some time with my family, and am curious if the Anet plans on bringing the servers down so that we can enjoy some time off with relatives, friends and other loved ones?
Will the servers be down for Christmas?

As noted already by some players in this discussion, no, the servers will not be down during Christmas.
