where are the things we've been promised?

We’re now five months into 2014, and we don’t have many of the things we were told we’d have by the end of 2013. Now I’m not going to crucify anyone for missing a deadline, as there are no shortage of things that can happen that cause something to be delayed. But what I don’t forgive so quickly is the deafening silence we’ve had on the subject. Five months into 2014, and we’ve not had one word on the subject from the developers (that I’ve seen).

What’s worse, though, is we’re still without virtually any of the “expansion worth of content” the Living Story was promised to deliver. The game is three months shy of its second anniversary, and so far we’ve been given a new dungeon path, a new dungeon of sorts (fractals), a new zone, a new healing skill per class, a handful of new traits, a new PvP map, a new WvW map, and a few new jumping puzzles.

That’s it. That’s 21 months worth of permanent content. On what planet is a list that small considered an expansion worth of content? Without mentioning other games, I’ll just say the genre norm AND ArenaNet’s own track record with Guild Wars tell me in no uncertain terms we’ve not been given what we were promised regarding the Living Story’s ability to deliver new content.

Guys, please get back on topic here. This is not the “discuss who is and is not a liar” thread.
