What should I upgrade

I get about 30-50 fps average but obviously very low in crowded areas and on best performance preset (lowest graphics)
These are my specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. EP35-DS3 (Socket 775)
Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E8200 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Hard Drive: 500 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)

And not only what should I upgrade but how far? I don’t got the money to buy the best out there
But for example to just be able to play mid or max on high fps or even low on high fps

On a other forum the two main suggestions were:
Radeon hd 7750
Intel q9550

Not both were said at the same time though, and the Radeon hd 7770 is only about 10 euros more expensive so why shouldn’t I get that one? Does it not work with my other specs?
The q9550 seems a bit old not sure if it’s worth it to spend that much money on with my old specs

CURRENT CHOICE: Radeon hd 7750 Gigabyte GV-R775OC-1GI

Hi Fluxion – This is a pretty loaded question that can be difficult to answer. Generally before updating your video card you will also want to look into upgrading your motherboard, processor, and memory. In addition, in order to support all the new hardware you may need to look into getting a higher wattage power supply as well.

Since you have a 32-bit operating system, and plan to get a card such as the HD 7750 I would highly recommend switching to a 64-bit operating system if your motherboard will allow it and in turn also upping your RAM to go along with it as well. You will not be able to utilize this card to the best of its’ abilities without first upgrading your operating system and memory otherwise you will then create a bottleneck for the rest of your system.

While we cannot provide specific recommendations for any one brand or manufacturer, I hope at least this will give you a better idea of where to start looking.
