What happens when your pm box is full?

I am close to the limit of 100 private messages on the forums and i was wondering, if i have to delete some manually in order to get new ones, once i reached 100, just like mails in game, or does the system delete the the oldest ones automatically?

When your inbox is full, you will no longer be able to receive new private messages, with the exception of system messages (move, merge, delete and infraction notices). If you wish to continue receiving private messages, you will have to clear out your inbox to make space.
