Do compromised accounts get items and gold restored?
If they don’t offer at least a simple roll back that’s pitiful.

I lost banked items and gold and that’s it.

Was able to change my email and password today.

The Account Restoration feature is not in the game yet. We do not have a release date for this feature, but I don’t think it will be too long before CS is able to do restorations. A few things you’ll want to know:

  • The restoration is account wide, not per item or per character.
  • The account is captured in “snapshots” at various stages and the restoration is to the time immediately preceding the compromise.
  • Obviously by reading the above, you will know that if you play on the account after a compromise event and then request a restoration, any gains between the “snapshot” and the date of restoration will be lost.
  • Guild Wars accounts are restored only in cases of compromise, not for user error (like deleting an item or buying the wrong thing) or for failed player-to-player transactions. Restorations also are undertaken only if the team was able to ascertain all the details and block the responsible (hacker) account, in order to protect the game economy. We have not yet account policies for Guild Wars 2.
