Wanna change password but it doesn't work

When I run guild wars 2 I can’t play the kitten thing because i apparently need to change the password. I press the “Change Your Password Now” button which nicely takes me to correct page.

1.) I input my old password
2.) I input my new password (2x)

I try to save and i get random result.

1.) Password must be 8 characters long (even though my new password will be 22 characters long)
2.) Successful change & i need to log back in but the new password doesn’t work. I have to use the old one

I can’t change my password which means i can’t log into game :S. Please help…

I am sorry that you are having difficulties. Oftentimes, we find that there’s a small typo in the name that prevents its use: a forgotten capital letter; a matter of transposing letters when the password was created. No worries, the team can help!

Also, there is a wait period between reset attempts. Give it two hours or more and try again, if you desire. But remember the team will be there to help if you need it.

Any time that you reach that frustration point, it’s probably best to “call in the professionals.” That fact is, Support really wants to help you. So please contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. I do believe in each of these cases they will be able to assist you.
