Unplayable skill lag in WvW

I know skill lag is an ongoing game-wide issue that Anet have been trying to fix since release, but since I seem to have a particularly bad case of it (30s+, with much smaller zergs than ones that would only give 2s or so skill lag 4 months ago) I wondered if there’s anything I can do on my end that might help make the game playable again? I’ve already tried:

  • Giving the game administrator privileges (in Windows compatibility settings)
  • Repairing the game archive file (ie adding -repair to the shortcut
  • Reducing graphics quality to ‘best performance’ (even though skill lag has nothing to do with graphics settings, I was desperate enough to try anyway and it didn’t help)

Anything else I can try? Or is it just ‘wait for the servers to suck less’?

Hi Carzor Stelatis – Unfortunately there isn’t a whole lot that you could try but I encourage anyone experiencing Skill Lag to check out this thread and add your own input:
