the future of pvp... Im actually excited

After reading the December patch draft, Ive gotta say, Im excited to see how pvp changes! For the most part, knowing that we have almost ridden out this heavy condi meta is a welcoming ideal for me, as I love to play shatter mez. It seems ele could be contributing heavily in the destruction of the condi-meta, with an updated trait that would make them immune to conditions while they are above 90% health…

The only issue that could come about is eles become too OP… but hey, every class should have it’s turn. Everything else on the patch notes draft looks great! I think people will be very happy to see damage reduction in spirit ranger; maybe this patch could make a balanced meta?! Tough to guess.. but if I had to put my money on it I would say no… considering Anet’s track record.

But there is hope! Hallelujah!!!

As someone who has been on both sides of the fence (player and dev), I’m genuinely excited for these changes.

I think we’ve tweaked enough things to shake-up the meta, and the work our team has been putting into the reward system means we now have incentive to play outside of owning people (which, to me, is still satisfying). Mixed in with the changes to matchmaking – we’re definitely headed in the right direction.

Is it December yet?
