Hi, this post is about a PUG that was picked up for a dungeon run that ended up being being kicked for his behaviour who then reported everyone after we had enough. Now I don’t want marks put on my account or on the accounts of other people who have done nothing wrong but I am really sick of this community and the abundance of keyboard warriors in it since day 1, very upset in the difference of community from Gw1 -Gw2.
So, to break down attached picture – dungeon run, contested on all but one server, everyone but myself was guesting elsewhere and I only had the one character with story mode done so I opened the dungeon on my ranger. As we go through… sorry, even before we start this player has kittened about the composition, not offered an opinion or asked a question. Moving on, as we go through the dungeon he whines about several things, finally at the boss the team has had enough and I tell him that if he doesn’t stop whining and just play I will kick him (I would never kick someone before a chest unless they act like a complete kitten like this guy and I always give them the option to shush and get tokens or kitten and be kicked) so he gets rowdy threatening with bans, etc. Eventually another member of the team reaches their boiling point and kicks, the player responds by blocking me, as you can see I try to reply to his threats to say I had not kicked him but he is set as offline, and so he mentions we have been reported.
Now normally I wouldn’t give a toss about this but I had a long day myself and I came online to play a game and not get this crap. If it was just me I could not give a kitten, I really couldn’t, but the other players do not deserve to get reported on just because of his incredibly sucky attitude. I think it is about time for more report options, with regards to trolls. I’ll admit I was not as patient as I would be normally with this person but long day plus playing a dungeon with characters that were not geared correctly at the time plus 1 guy who was sulking in the corner making judgements on everyone, I think you will agree under the circumstances.
Edit: just to add the moment he was replaced, the dungeon was over in less than 5 minutes, we just had no dps set up at all.
