T6 Dust Crisis

If I want to convert 200 cores into 100 lodestones, I need 100 piles of crystalline dust.

If I want to craft the Bifrost, I need 750 piles of crystalline dust.

If I want to craft the Flameseeker Prophecies, I need 500 piles of crystalline dust.

That’s really great since dust drops from undead in cursed shore… Wait…. It’s been nerfed.

T6 dust also drops from high level ghosts…. There are no high level ghosts except the miserable few in Eternal Battlegrounds.

T6 dust also drops from heavy moldy bags, but since cursed shores and malchor’s leap have been nerfed, it’s kinda hard to get those.

What other avenues of getting T6 dust are left except from the trading post? I know the AC dungeon chest drops T6 dust also, but that dungeon has been buffed.

Is there anything remaining, that deals with T6 dust aquisition, that hasn’t been either nerfed or buffed?

I’ve decided to hoard T6 dust because of this. I’m not advocating that people do the same. It’s my personal decision. I mean, if Arenanet believes that the game produces enough supply of crystalline dust, then the trading post ought to never run out of those stuff right?

Yet, the total quantity on sale on the auction house for this particular material is dwindling and the prices for this particular commodity has risen 4 silver in the last 2 days alone.

“Globs of Ectoplasm can now be salvaged into Piles of Crystalline Dust. This change should help Globs of Ectoplasm maintain a strong value in the economy and lower the cost of Crystalline Dust.”

Thank you. Now if we could have a solution for lodestones that would be awesome!

Additional ways for other items like lodestones will arrive later this summer, there part of a much larger reward overhaul (outlined in very high level detail here) we’ll go into more low level detail when we update the status of this blog: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/colin-johanson-on-guild-wars-2-in-the-months-ahead/

The dust solution was a quicker low hanging fruit change outside of the larger reward system overhauls, so we figured we’d get it out quickly based on all of your feedback.

As always, thanks again for feedback folks!
