Surname blocked despite NPC using same surname.

My Norn warrior is named Sigdis Egildottir. for some reason Egilsdottir was blocked in both gw1 and gw2. I assume there is some combination of characters in Egilsdottir that is insulting in a European language. I was OK with it at first, until I encountered a Norn NPC with the surname Egilsdottir…

I selected my name based on the meanings from old norse (warrior woman, daughter of the sword) and would really like to have it spelled correctly if possible. >.<

We do have many NPC names blocked from player use, to avoid issues. I am sorry that your preferred name is not available, but we will not be able to make it available to you.
