Hello, Ive been playing GW1 for many years. And recently bought GW2.

I tried to log in to the website to link my accounts. but whenever I link, it doesn’t work.
I get the follwong message :

Your Guild Wars accounts are linked

Congratulations! You have successfully linked your Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 accounts. In doing so, you now have access to the exciting rewards awaiting you inside the Hall of Monuments. The following Guild Wars 2 account information will now be used to log in to both Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2:

E-mail:
[email protected]

But once I log out, or into the game … 1. the hall is empty … 2. the account is not linked. and I have to do it again, seein this message again. and nothing again.
relog and repeat is all i can do.

^ thats my ticket.

support team reply :

Hi Oz,

Thank you for providing that information.

If you are wondering if your Guild Wars 2 account is linked to a Guild Wars account, this can be verified by logging in with your Guild Wars 2 account at https://account.guildwars2.com and clicking Link Accounts on the left-hand side of the page. If the account is already linked, you will see the message “Your Guild Wars accounts are linked!”

If you’d like to link an original Guild Wars account to a Guild Wars 2 account, this feature is now available! Please visit the following Knowledge Base article which will describe and cover all the steps needed to complete this:

http://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8961

Please note: Once you link a Guild Wars account to Guild Wars 2, you cannot unlink them. Choose wisely and type carefully!

Now ive been waiting 2 days, really tried every method of linking.

now seriously ?!?! ive been waiting 2days just to hear them tell me “try what you did again here is a link” …

ofc I replied back asking for more assistance, but now I really got to wait this long again ??
i’m really mad not getting started with all my GW1 that ive been working so hard to max the hall … i’m losing patience ….

what you think ? … why the support bein so supportive" ? … did I not explain myself well enough ? … also I heared alot of people experience the same thing.

There is nothing wrong with Support. Occasionally, an agent sends a response that is not accurate or does not give enough information. For that, we apologize, but I don’t think an indictment of the entire team is warranted for what may have been simple human error.

How do you deal with this issue? You update your ticket and ask for additional help, explaining what you need (briefly) so that it will be clear to the agent then reviewing your update. If you still need help after 3 full days, please post in the Tickets for Review thread.

This post is without value, as it does not contain a ticket number, and because there isn’t a ticket in the system associated with the display name in this thread. While it may feel good to vent your frustration, we’d rather help you than plow through such non-contributory posts that do not contain enough information to allow us to help.

AP’s suggestion is sound: This issue may be related to a known issue with GWAMM, but I rather think not. Instead, try the steps he advised above and see if that help you. If not, please update your ticket and ask for additional assistance.
