Hi,
first of all, yes, I’ve read and tried the steps described in the FAQ with no result. I’ve also, on top of opening seperate ports, set myself as the DMZ host, but nothing worked…

I have noticed a small download (I think about 0,5 MB) before the launcher stopped and stayed at the said “0kB (0kB/sec)”.

The app stays responsive the whole time – as far as task manager can tell.

I had no problems running it yesterday – I did change my internet access point since then, but I think the router can be ruled out..

I’m already downloading everything I need to format my machine, but I’ll only be doing that as a last resort, because UNI, custom eclipse, virtual machine, etc. . . backing up all that crap takes a LONG time.. I’ve attached my dxdiag, if thats of any help.

Edit: I’ve also attached a cap of the state of the launcher, just to make it obvious as to what I mean.

Hey all,

It’s possible this could be a DNS issue. Please try the steps in the following link to override your current DNS settings and use Google’s Public DNS.

Using Google Public DNS
http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html

Once done, please follow the steps below to clear the DNS cache.

1. Press and hold the Windows key and press the R key. This should bring up the “Run” dialogue box.

2. In that box, type “cmd” without the quotes, and click the “OK” button. A DOS window should open.

3. Enter the following command below and press enter: ipconfig /flushdns

This should clear your DNS cache. You may need to perform this command a few times.

If this resolved the issue you will need to contact your ISP in order to have the issue resolved. Using a DNS that is not provided by your ISP may lead to slow connection issues.
